Those so called experts and ASD

Those so called experts told my parents that I would have to be put in a group home and never let out. They said that I would never be able to go to college, get my drivers licence, get a job of meaningful value. They said I would never live on my own (I am still working on that one) That I would never amount to anything and to not waste their time and not to bother trying. I am so glad my parents and me did not listen to what the experts said my life would be like. What do those experts know anyways they never had to deal with ASD so till they have they will never know how much is possible if you just try hard enough to make it happen.
