Stimming and ASD
I do a lot of typical autism stimming. I hand flap when I am very excited. I rock, pace, spin, I stare at fans when they are on for the spinning of the blades. I rock when I am upset. I pace when I have to release some frustrations but some times I just pace to be able to think. I do not know why i spin but I like it a lot. When I am around other people with autism that are stimming I tend to stim more mimicking thier stemming. That is why I try not to get too close to others while they are stimming because I do not want people to see me stimming. I am embaresed that I do it. I do not mean to do it it just happends and I some times do not like that I do it but I can not control myself.
